Important: Instagram integration is not currently enabled for public use. This page describes the planned integration workflow that will be submitted for Meta App Review. The integration will only be activated after Meta App Review approval is complete. No Instagram publishing functionality is available to any user at this time.

This page is for Meta App Review only. It describes the intended owner-authorized planned integration flow and safety controls. It does not expose secrets, access tokens, or private user data. No confidential information is included on any public page.

Overview

BANSHO ENGINE is a private automation console used by the authorized owner of Dreams of Little Paws to manage short-form content workflows across approved platforms. It is not a public-facing service and is not intended for end-users other than the content owner.

The planned Instagram / Meta integration within BANSHO ENGINE is designed to allow the authorized owner to connect their own Instagram professional account, manage a prepared video queue, and initiate owner-approved publishing workflows through Meta's official APIs — pending Meta App Review approval.

Owner-managed accounts only. Explicit approval before publishing. BANSHO ENGINE will only connect Instagram accounts that the owner controls. No automatic public posting will occur without owner approval and platform permission. All features described on this page are pending Meta App Review approval.

Instagram integration is planned for owner-authorized publishing workflows. It will only be enabled after Meta App Review approval is confirmed. The integration will be used only by the authorized owner for accounts they control. No automatic public posting will occur without owner approval and platform permission.

Intended Meta / Instagram Use Case

The planned BANSHO ENGINE Instagram integration is intended to support the following owner-authorized workflow, once Meta App Review approval is obtained:

  • Connect an authorized Instagram professional account belonging to the owner (Dreams of Little Paws).
  • Select a prepared short-form video from the owner's content queue for submission.
  • Review video metadata (caption, hashtags, cover image) before any submission.
  • Pass through internal safety gate checks (file verification, duplicate prevention, queue status).
  • Publish or schedule content only after explicit owner approval and valid Meta API permissions.
  • Record publishing status and basic analytics in the owner's local operation log, if approved permissions allow.

Permissions / Features (Examples — Pending Review)

Note: The following permissions are listed as examples for the planned integration only. They have not been approved by Meta App Review. The final set of permissions will be determined by Meta App Review and the final implementation plan. No permissions listed below should be interpreted as currently approved or active.

Potential permissions may include Instagram account identity, content publishing, and insights access, depending on Meta App Review approval and the final implementation.

instagram_basic Example / Future Review

Intended purpose (planned): To confirm the owner's Instagram professional account identity and display basic account information in the BANSHO ENGINE console. This would allow the owner to verify which account is currently connected.

instagram_content_publish Example / Future Review

Intended purpose (planned): To submit owner-approved short-form video content through Meta's official content publishing API. Every submission requires explicit owner confirmation and will follow Meta's content publishing guidelines.

instagram_manage_insights Example / Future Review

Intended purpose (planned): To read basic performance metrics (reach, impressions) for the owner's own published content, if approved by Meta App Review. This would be used solely for the owner's content improvement planning. Data would not be shared with any third party.

pages_show_list Example / If Required

Intended purpose (if required): May be required to connect a Facebook Page associated with the owner's Instagram professional account. Will only be requested if required by Meta's Instagram API connection flow.

End-to-End Planned Flow

The following planned flow represents the complete owner-authorized Instagram publishing workflow as it will be demonstrated in a future Meta App Review video (after approval). All steps require owner action or confirmation.

  1. Owner opens BANSHO ENGINE

    The authorized owner opens the private BANSHO ENGINE console. Access is restricted to the owner only.

  2. Owner selects Instagram Integration

    From the integration panel, the owner navigates to the Instagram / Meta section. This section is only available after Meta App Review approval.

  3. Owner connects an authorized Instagram professional account

    The owner initiates authorization via Meta's official OAuth flow. Only the owner's own Instagram professional account is connected. The OAuth callback is handled at https://banshoengine.com/auth/instagram/callback.

  4. Owner selects a prepared short-form video

    The owner selects a short-form video (Dreams of Little Paws series) from the prepared content queue. All content is pre-produced by the owner.

  5. Owner reviews metadata and safety status

    The owner reviews caption, hashtags, and cover image. Internal safety gate checks are performed (file hash verification, duplicate prevention, queue status). No submission proceeds without passing all checks.

  6. Owner explicitly approves publishing

    The owner must explicitly confirm the publishing action. No automatic or scheduled posting occurs without this explicit approval step.

  7. BANSHO ENGINE submits content via approved Meta / Instagram APIs

    BANSHO ENGINE submits the owner-approved content through Meta's official content publishing APIs, following Meta's platform policies and guidelines. Only approved permissions (post Meta App Review) will be used.

  8. BANSHO ENGINE records publishing status and analytics (if permitted)

    After submission, BANSHO ENGINE records the publishing status and, if approved by Meta App Review, basic analytics data in the owner's local operation log. All logs remain local and are not shared externally.

Safety Controls

BANSHO ENGINE is designed with a safety-gated workflow to ensure that all Instagram publishing activity is owner-authorized, intentional, and traceable. These controls will apply once the integration is enabled after Meta App Review approval.

Owner-Managed Accounts Only

Only Instagram professional accounts owned and managed by the content owner will be connected. No third-party account access.

Explicit Approval Before Publishing

Every publishing action requires explicit owner confirmation. No scheduled or automatic posting without human approval.

No Scraping

BANSHO ENGINE does not scrape Instagram content, user data, or third-party information from the platform.

No Unrelated Data Collection

Only data necessary for account identity and publishing workflow will be accessed. No unrelated user data collected.

No Sale of User Data

Instagram user data will not be sold, shared, or transferred to any third party under any circumstances.

Safety Stop Gates

Multiple internal safety gates must pass before any publish action is allowed. Any gate failure blocks the workflow.

File Hash Verification

Each content file is verified via hash check before submission to prevent corrupted or unintended file publishing.

Duplicate Prevention

Duplicate submission prevention logic will be applied to avoid publishing the same content multiple times in error.

Manual Error Review

All submission errors will be logged locally for manual owner review. No silent failures or automatic retries without owner awareness.

Platform Permission Checks

Permission status is verified before any API call. BANSHO ENGINE will not attempt actions beyond Meta App Review-approved permissions.

Data Use and Handling

  • Minimal data use: BANSHO ENGINE will only use data necessary for account connection, publishing status, and approved analytics. No additional data will be collected or retained beyond what is needed for the approved workflow.
  • No secrets exposed: Tokens and client secrets will not be exposed on any public-facing page of this website. All credentials are handled in the owner's secure local operation environment.
  • Data deletion available: Users can request removal of any stored data. See the Data Deletion page for the procedure.
  • Privacy and Terms: Full data handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
  • No data sales: BANSHO ENGINE does not sell, share, or transfer Instagram / Meta user data to any third party.

Demo Video Guide

A future Meta App Review demonstration screencast will be prepared after Meta App Review approval is received. The following describes what the planned demonstration will show.

What the Future Demo Video Will Show

  1. Opening the BANSHO ENGINE private console (owner login)
  2. Navigating to the Instagram Integration panel (enabled after Meta App Review)
  3. Connecting the owner's authorized Instagram professional account via Meta OAuth
  4. Confirming the connected account identity is displayed correctly in the console
  5. Selecting a prepared Dreams of Little Paws short-form video from the queue
  6. Reviewing video metadata (caption, hashtags, cover image)
  7. Passing through the safety gate checks (file hash, duplicate check, queue status)
  8. Explicitly confirming the publish action
  9. Submitting the content through Meta's approved Instagram publishing API
  10. Displaying the publishing status and safety log in the owner console

Note for Reviewers: The full demo video will only be available after Meta App Review approval. The current submission may include a preliminary workflow demonstration using a test environment. No real production posting will be shown unless the integration is fully approved and activated.
